The ticket agent for the Isle of Man Bay Festival says it can't provide refunds, as it's already given the money from sales to the event's organisers.
HMV is urging those who've purchased tickets for the cancelled festival to follow the organisers' instructions of requesting a refund in writing in order to get their money back.
HMV's normal policy is to provide the refund, however it says Bay Festival wants to handle the funds directly to speed up returning the money.
Anyone who hasn't received a refund by July 29th should then contact their point of purchase.
A statement from HMV says it's sorry the promoter felt it necessary to cancel the festival, and that it has been assured all refunds will be dealt with in a timely manner.
Ticketholders should write to Isle of Man Bay Festival Limited, PO Box 1234, Peel in order to register for a refund.
