The Treasury Minister has expressed her relief that the Island's inflation rate held steady last month.
After seven months of increases, the Retail Prices Index remained at 6.7% in April.
Anne Craine also welcomed the latest unemployment figures, which are the lowest of the year so far.
In April, the number of Manx workers without a job fell by 48 to 843, giving an unemployment rate of 2%.
Mrs Craine says it's good to see a reversal in the trend, which had seen unemployment rising in the early part of 2011.
The Minister is optimistic that current employment levels will hold over the summer, but is concerned that fuel and food prices may mean inflation is yet to peak.
