The Liberal Vannin Party is questioning whether the Isle of Man benefits from a reciprocal deal on National Insurance with the UK.
The Party believes the Island doesn't have to copy Britain, but can't bring in its own N.I. initiatives.
The statement comes after Treasury Minister Anne Craine told Tynwald that the agreement limits the Island's ability to introduce National Insurance incentives.
Liberal Vannin says it wonders what the rationale was by those who committed to the agreement with the UK.
