A jury at a murder trial has heard the alleged victim fled to the Isle of Man to get away from her husband who it's claimed had attacked her with a knife.
Former Island resident Joanna Brown was found dead in woodland in Ascot last year.
The 47 year old's mother Diane Parkes, who lives on the Island, has been on the witness stand.
She claims the family hired a bodyguard for Joanna because it was felt her estranged husband posed a risk to her.
Brown denies murder but admits killing his wife.
He says he was suffering from a mental disorder at the time.
