Questions are to be asked in Tynwald about the competence of Manx police after the case against a woman accused of stabbing a man who was fighting with her boyfriend was dismissed.
It was dropped after the Deemster decided police hadn't looked properly at CCTV footage.
The defendant had denied wounding or having had any sort of weapon.
The investigating officers were criticised in the court judgment.
Two politicians will ask questions about it in parliament next week.
David Cannan wants to know if the Home Affairs Minister is concerned about the adverse comments made about the competence of police investigating certain cases.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran will ask if the officers involved have been disciplined and if the defendant is related to anyone in the police force.
