An Island psychologist says she's not too surprised by latest government figures which show the amount of anti-depressants that are being prescribed here.
Nearly 59,000 prescriptions were issued by local GPs in the last 12 months.
It's a rise of around 15,000 in the last five years.
The amount of anti-depressants handed out suggests around 24% of adults on the Isle of Man suffer from depression.
Consultant clinical psychologist Dr Fiona McPherson says the figures appear to be in line with the UK.
She believes the times we live in could be partly responsible.[Full interview below]
