A pressure group wants politicians to 'call time' on what it believes are extravagant salaries paid to the Manx judiciary.
The Celtic League says the wages of Deemsters and their counterparts in the UK and Ireland are the highest in the world.
The group says Deemsters here are paid around £173,000 per year - compared with Germany where they earn around £65,000 and the US where the salary is approximately £120,000.
The Celtic League calls it a staggering difference.
It says the figures are disproportionate to global judiciary pay scales and in difficult economic times, judges have been immune to cuts or pay freezes unlike other public and private workers.
