The Chief Minister says he's told the Steam Packet the government won't be making changes to the user agreement.
In the House of Keys today, Tony Brown said he's had brief conversations with the company about the agreement in its present form and the possibility of extending it.
However, Mr Brown says he's told the company this won't happen at the moment.
The agreement is currently in place untl 2020.
It guarantees the Island a certain level of service from the ferry operator and in turn allows the Steam Packet sole use of the linkspan in Douglas Harbour.
