A 51 tonne container of fire fighting pumps has arrived on Island this morning.
The equipment is part of the new fire fighting system being installed in the oil and gas storage facility on Battery Pier.
The pumps come from a Dutch manufacturer, and arrived on the Ben my Chree early this morning.
In total, the new firefighting system is costing the Department of Infrastructure £1.8million, with £1.2million going on pumps and related equipment.
New pipelines have been installed in Douglas Harbour in preparation for the arrival of the pumps.
It's expected the full system will be ready in July
