Local businesses could get 40% of the cost of arranging a conference off Island in a Government grant.
The Department of Economic Development is to provide financial assistance for companies holding conferences off Island if they meet certain criteria.
The conferences must be out of season between October and February, and attended by at least 40 people, 80% of whom must be from the Isle of Man.
Those applying for the funds must be based on the Island, and employ Manx tax payers.
The DED is bringing in the scheme following a review of the financial support it currently offers.
The Department believes there can be many benefits for the Island when businesses hold such events further afield.
