A Flybe plane is undergoing an examination after a flight bound for the Isle of Man made an emergency landing at Manchester earlier today.
Twenty passengers and four crew were on board the flight to Ronaldsway when the smoke alarm sounded and passengers reported smelling smoke in the cabin.
The aircraft turned back to Manchester, touching down at around 8.50 this morning.
A full emergency was declared at the airport whilst crews there dealt with the incident.
All those onboard were evacuated safely and taken back to the terminal building.
