Queen's Pier in Ramsey is posing a safety risk to the public, vessels and the Pier itself, and needs urgent work to stabilise and protect the structure.
That's according to the Department of Infrastructure, which is seeking Tynwald approval to spend nearly £1.8 million on the structure.
The proposed works include replacing and repairing parts of the pier.
It's predicted the works would maintain the pier for at least five years.
If Tynwald approves the spending, work will start in early May, and be completed by Christmas
