The Health Minister has admitted breast cancer rates are on the rise.
David Anderson told the House of Keys this morning that 54 women had been diagnosed with breast cancer over the last 6 months.
This follows figures released in November, which revealed 47 women were diagnosed with the illness in the previous six month period.
Before 2010, there had been around 60 to 70 women diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
In November, Mr Anderson put the increase down to improved screening techniques.
However, he's now confirmed that more women are being affected by breast cancer [play clip]
