An inquest has heard a man found dead on a beach in the south of the Island died from drowning.
The body old Kenneth Merryweather was found on Perwick Beach near Port St Mary by a member of the public on Sunday 20th March.
Mr Merryweather was 61 years old and from Laxey.
The inquiry into his death was adjourned by Coroner of Inquests Alistair Montgomerie today.
The Coroner extended his deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mr Merryweather.
