Road tax questions in House of Keys

Questions will be raised over road tax in the House of Keys next week.

Michael MHK David Cannan will ask the Infrastructure Minister if his Department will reverse a decision to tax second hand cars brought to the Island as new.

Meanwhile, Rushen MHK Juan Watterson will ask Minister Phil Gawne to justify the rules on vehicle excise duty, given that tax on a second hand Toyota Prius is over three times what it would have been for a new model.

Mr Gawne will answer both questions in the House of Keys on Tuesday
