An Onchan man has pleaded guilty to cultivating and possessing cannabis.
27 year old David Clarke appeared before the Deputy High Bailiff this week.
The court heard police smelled cannabis when they called at the defendant's former home at Albany Road in Douglas on an unrelated matter.
One officer spotted a light shining from a wardrobe and discovered a hydroponics system and two cannabis plants.
Clarke admitted owning one of the plants and some cannabis which was also found in the flat.
He said it was for personal use.
The prosecution said the defendant was in breach of a suspended prison sentence for a previous drugs conviction.
Sentence was adjourned until 21st April for a social enquiry report to be carried out.
