A police officer who saved two people drowning has been recognised at the Chief Constables Award Ceremony.
A Chief Constable's commendation for selfless bravery was given to PC Dave Schumacher for entering Douglas harbour near the Solway Harvester when a lady had fallen in.
He also recevied an award from the Royal Life Saving Society for helping a man who had entered the water in Douglas Bay.
Constable Schumacher told Granada Reports that he's heard from the lady since he rescued her [play clip]
