An MHK is worried that the Attorney General is trying to politically influence sentencing in some cases on the Island.
Peter Karran says he's extremely concerned that the AG tried to intervene in the sentencing of advocate Jenny Holt, who was recently convicted of money laundering offences.
The Attorney General had called for an immediate custodial sentence to protect the Island's reputation in the eyes of the International Monetary Fund.
The Liberal Vannin Party leader will voice his concerns in the House of Keys this week.
He'll ask Chief Minister Tony Brown how many times the Council of Ministers has asked the Attorney General to intervene, and whether there should be an inquiry into the matter.
The House of Keys sits tomorrow.
