GP surgery plan won't bring improvements says MHK

The MHK for Michael doesn't believe there'll be anything gained by locating a doctor's surgery at Kirk Michael School.

The Department of Health is considering using a room at the school for a satellite service by the Ramsey GPs.

At the moment it operates out of Cannan Court.

Local commissioners are asking people in the community what they think of the plan to divide off an area of the school building to create a separate entrance, waiting area and consulting room.

David Cannan doesn't think the idea will offer any improvements to the current services but says it will be up to the public to decide what they want to see happen.
