GPs could be holding surgeries in one of the Island's primary schools in the near future.
The Departments of Health and Education and Children are looking to hold doctors' clinics in Michael Primary School.
GPs from Ramsey currently operate out of Cannan Court sheltered housing complex in Kirk Michael, but the facilities are not big enough.
An area of the school is currently not in use, and could be divided from the rest of the school.
Converting the section of the school into a GP surgery would cost less that one hundred thousand pounds.
Michael Commissioners are to ask the residents of Kirk Michael for their opinions, as neither Department wishes to proceed if the village is unhappy with the plans.
Plans are currently available to view at the Commissioners office or in the school building during parents' evenings.
