The Isle of Man Government says studies show kerbside recycling saves local authorities money - and people like it!
The scheme which runs in Onchan, Douglas and Braddan has been in the spotlight recently.
Onchan Commissioners announced they'll be pulling out because it's too costly and doesn't do enough to help the planet.
However, the Department of Infrastructure says their studies show the kerbside scheme will save the local authorities money because savings they'll make on refuse collection will pay for the recycling.
The information was released following a question in the House of Keys.
But Chairman of Onchan Commissioners Brian Stowell doesn't believe the government has proved its case.[Play audio file below]
