The Island's busiest road junction is due to close to traffic this weekend.
It's planned the Quarterbridge will shut at 6am on Saturday and reopen at midnight on Sunday.
The Department of Infrastructure will be tearing up the road's surface and replacing it as part of an improvement scheme.
Diversion signs will be placed on routes leading to the Quarterbridge to advise drivers of alternative routes.
The work is said to be highly weather dependant and the Department will let Energy FM know it's final decision after speaking to the Met office on Friday.
If the weekend work goes ahead, next week will see junction open to traffic - but the surfacing will be temporary with minimal road markings so drivers are asked to take extra care.
Another weekend closure will then take place to finish off laying the new surface.
