A local Supermarket says the demise of Mezeron's freight service won't affect delivery of its cargo to the Island.
Yesterday, the shipping company announced it will be stopping its freight service between Douglas and Liverpool.
Mezeron launched the route in October to rival the Steam Packet.
Shoprite Chief Executive Andrew Thomas says the hauliers they work with have reassured him that the decision won't cause problems.
He says goods will still be delivered to Shoprite customers in the most timely and cost-effective manner.
