The Isle of Man Post Office says it's disappointed but not surprised at the prospect of strike action by its workers.
A statement from the Post Office says all its offers to the Communication Workers Union have been rejected, and that the union has threatened strike action from day one.
Yesterday, the CWU announced it would be balloting its members later this month, and is urging them to vote in favour of industrial action.
The Post Office says strike action could be very damaging, and may affect the future of the service, jobs and postal deliveries.
Over half of the Postal work force are members of the CWU.
