Man bailed on Rape charges

A 23yr old man from Port Erin has been bailed after appearing in court charged with Rape, Indecent assault and acts against Public Justice.

The man who Energy FM have decided not to name is alleged to have commited the assault at his home address in Port Erin after meeting the girl earlier in the evening.

He was bailed after paying a surety of £5000 and agreeing to a number of stringent Bail conditions including a curfew, wearing an electronic tag and not entering Port Erin.

He was also ordered not to contact anyone involved in the case or enter licensed premises. A number of other restrictions were placed up on him.

He will appear in Court again on 15th March.
