A local primary school student has been chosen by the Queen to be a Maundy child.
Ben Howarth is 9 years old and a pupil at St Thomas's in Douglas, he received a letter from Buckingham Palace asking him to be a special helper for the service on April the 21st.
Representatives from the Island have also been chosen to receive Maundy Money- specially minted coins are given out in recognition of special contributions to church or civil life.
Energy FM news caught up with Ben at school earlier who says he wants to tell her majesty all about his favourite sports.
