Rape accused to appear in court

A Port Erin man will appear in court today charged with rape, indecent assault and committing acts against public justice.

The 23 year old was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The arrest followed a woman reporting that she had been the victim of a serious sexual assault.

It's alleged the offence took place at the man's home address.
