The Isle of Man Post office have responded to story Energy FM broke yesterday that balloting for strike action is just days away.
A spokesman has confirmed that avenues of communication have been exhausted and that industrial action would be damaging to the long term future of the company.
The company increased it's dividends to the treasury in 2010 in recognition of the islands current financial situation, however according to Union bosses none of the profits have been handed down to staff as per previous discussions.
The assistant Secretary of the Communication workers union Terry Pullinger told us that they had offered to go to binding arbitration over the matter but Post office bosses had refused.
