A man from Braddan has admitted a charge of provoking behaviour, which resulted in Hillary House being evacuated last Friday.
42 year old Jonathan Richard Fletcher rang Noble's Hospital to speak with a social worker.
When he was advised to call Hillary House, he told staff at the hospital that the building would explode if he rang there.
All staff were evacuated and bomb sniffer dogs were deployed but no device was found.
Deputy High Bailiff Alistair Montgomerie said social enquiry and psychiatric reports would be necessary before Fletcher could be sentenced.
Fletcher was bailed in the sum of £250, and the matter adjourned whilst the reports are compiled.
