The trial of Manx advocate Jenny Holt has been hearing from staff at her former employers today. The defendant was seen crying in court as the jury heard from her former secretary at Maroneys advocates who described Miss Holt as a trustworthy character who was of unquestionable integrity. She also said at times she saw Miss Holt as more of a daughter than a boss often having to remind her to tidy her desk. The prosecution team questioned a number of witnesses about title deeds for properties belonging to the hermitage trust, of which Mr & Mrs Trevor Baines were trustees. Miss Holt is charged with four offences relating to the theft of 400 thousand pounds by the couple. she denies all charges. The trial continues.
