Health chiefs say a flu vaccine released from Department stockpiles is particularly appropriate for pregnant women.
It was announced on Friday that 3000 doses of the swine flu vaccine would be made available after supplies of the seasonal flu jab began running low.
Pandemrix isn't effective against all flu types, but does give protection against the H1N1 strain which is the most common at the moment.
It's also the strain which increases the risk of complication in pregnant woman.
There's also evidence that antenatal vaccine provides protection for the newborn baby.
Dr Parameshwaren Kishore says people in all at-risk groups should make an appointment with their doctor.
