Veteran vehicle tax set to be cut
Sat, 08 Jan 2011
Road tax on veteran vehicles is set to be cut in half.
The Department of Infrastructure has released the results of its consultation on vehicle duty.
A new order will go before Tynwald, recommending that duty on veteran vehicles be set at £10.
Many owners were unhappy when the tax went up from £5 to £20 last year.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the owners of such vehicles are adding to the Island's heritage [play clip]
