Works set for two busy roads

Major road works on two of the Island's main roads are to begin early next year.

The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed that maintenence on Victoria Road in Douglas and Mines Road in Foxdale will begin in the new year.

The work had been due to take place in the next financial year, but has been brought forward.

Tynwald approved spending of £400,000 on the roads earlier this year.

Mines Road carries around 3000 vehicles a day, whilst Victoria Road has around 8000
