Public urged to prepare for snow

The Manx public is being urged to be prepared for the return of wintry weather.

The Department of Infrastructure has published its "Snow Code" to help people clear snow safely.

The code advises that rock salt can be obtained for free from the civic amenity sites, and should be used to help clear pavements of snow and ice.

It's hoped the advice will help people make their communities safe.

Over 3000 hours were put into clearing the most recent snow fall a few weeks ago.
