Douglas police crack down on Christmas crime

Extra police officers will be on patrol over the festive period in Douglas.

The Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team wants to ensure everyone has a enjoyable but safe time whilst in the town for shopping, functions and nights out.

Officers have been visiting shops and businesses to give advice on security.

It's hoped the presence of extra officers will reinforce the anti-drink drive message.

Those who drink to excess are being warned they will be arrested and removed from the streets if they commit offences.
