A dentist working on the Isle of Man has been suspended from practising by the General Dental Council for six months.
Gunter Zimmerman worked at 65 Woodbourne Dental Surgery in Douglas, but has since left the practice and is no longer providing treatment to patients there.
He admitted a string of charges relating to a patient he treated in 2006.
Mr Zimmerman failed to fully explain the treatment to the patient, didn't keep full records, and failed to check the patients full dental history.
The Department of Health is working with Mr Zimmerman's employer to ensure minimal disruption to NHS patients at the practice
