The Government has been providing an update on the care of young people on the Island.
132 recommendations for improvements were made following an inquiry into the Island's care provision in 2006.
One recommendation was for there to be a full external investigation into the care system, which is to be held in 2012.
The Safeguarding Children Board says many of these recommendations have now been put in place, and the Island has a good system for caring for young people as a result.
The inquiry was ordered after two teenagers were murdered whilst in care during 2002.
