There's been a severe weather warning issued across the island as gale force winds and heavy rain are expected over the next few days.
Winds of upto 80mph are expected to disrupt ferry crossings and heavy rain is expected to cause flooding in low lying areas.
The Steam Packet Company is warning passengers to expect disruptions on all services to and from Heysham leading upto the weekend.
