Cyclist Andrew Roche carried out the Manx flag at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games yesterday.

Competition for the 29 Manx athletes begins today.

The Manx badminton team got their tournament underway against top seeds Malaysia this morning.

Despite losing the match, assistant team manager Steve Partington says it was a strong performance for the Island against the world champions [play clip]
