Kerbside recycling disrupted by faulty vehicle

One of the kerbside recycling collection vehicles is currently out of service, causing disruption to collections.

Douglas Borough Council engineers have confirmed one of the vehicles has suffered a failure, and that measures are being put in place to maintain the service.

Collections will take place tomorrow morning in Birch Hill and Onchan for those whose recycling wasn't collected earlier in the week.

The kerbside recycling scheme has been in place in some households in Douglas, Onchan and Braddan for over a year.
