Public Meeting is a matter for North Douglas MHK's

The Minister for Community Culture and Leisure is standing firm in his decision not to attend tonight's public consultation.

Following the introduction of the new bus timetable, two North Douglas MHK's John Houghton and Bill Henderson have been leading calls for Mr Cretney to attend the meeting at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas this evening.

But Mr Cretney told Energy Fm that he certainly will not be going and will continue to deal with anyone who has questions on a one to one basis. He added "It's entirely a matter for the North Douglas MHK's that they are proceeding with their meeting, I believe I can continue to deal with people personally"
