Jail for man who had sex with 15 year old

A 20 year old man has been jailed for a year for having sex with an underage girl.

Oliver James Hamon admitted having unlawful sexual intercourse and an act of gross indecency, as well as a burglary and theft offence.

He was arrested in April for having sex with his 15 year old girlfriend.

In June he was found engaging in an act of gross indecency with the girl on Douglas Head.

In August he stole a playstation 3 and two games from his stepfather's home and burgled the Longboat restaurant with another male.

Hamon was placed on the sex offenders register for five years, and was told by Deemster Doyle that he was immature and foolish for getting involved with the girl.
