Do you want to be part of a system that has an electronic record of your medical information?
The Department of Health have issued a reminder to residents on the Island to consider whether or not they want to have a Manx Emergency Care Record created for them. The MECR will, in an emergency, bring together key information that is already held on individuals into one place.
The reminder focuses on the fact that if people don't want to be part of the scheme, they must complete and return the opt out form to their GP Practice by 13th October. If you don't opt out, an MECR will automatically be created for you.
If you need more information, you can visit the departments website www.gov.im/health, your GP surgery or call 685967
