Mountain Road is location for training exercise this weekend

If you see the emergency services carrying out a rescue near the Mountain Road this Sunday, don't be alarmed as it's all part of a planned training exercise.

Operation Theseus starts at 10am around the Windy Corner area of the A18, and the scenario involves persons believed to be injured and missing from a vehicle caught up in a road traffic accident.

The exercise will involve between 60 and 70 people from the Constabulary, Fire and Rescue Service, Coastguard, Civil Defence and Search and Rescue Dogs, and should finish at 3pm.
