A former TT rider has turned humanitarian and offered victims of the Christchurch earthquake the use of his motor home trailer.
Shaun Harris survived a horror 180 mph crash while competing in the Isle of Man motorcycle race in 2007.
On Monday he's hitting the road with his fully-enclosed 6m trailer and will tow it to Christchurch where he hopes a family or group will use it as temporary accommodation during the crisis.
Mr Harris crashed his 1000 cc motorcycle on the final lap of the 2007 TT and ended up in hospital in a critical condition with broken bones in both arms and legs, a smashed pelvis and internal and head injuries.
