Manx residents are being reminded that they should still have insurance when they visit the UK, despite the signing of a new reciprocal health agreement.
The cost of repatriation is not included in the arrangements.
The Department of Health has previously warned that the cost of an air ambulance to return a patient to the Island can be high.
The agreement was signed yesterday, ensuring Manx and British residents will continue to receive free treatment when admitted to hospital whilst visiting the other juristiction.
