Burglar fled scene after stealing and crashing car

Police are investigating after a burglar stole and crashed a car in Douglas.

The man broke into a property in the area of Laureston Grove overnight, taking a number of items.

He also took the keys to a car and attempted to drive off, but crashed it into another parked car causing extensive damage. He then fled the scene.

The man is described as being in his late teens or early 20s with light coloured hair.

Officers are asking anyone who was in the area between 1.00am and 2.30 this morning and saw a man matching that description to contact them.
