Application submitted to tear down Grand Island

The Grand Island Hotel has been closed since early 2009

A planning application to demolish the Grand Island Hotel has been submitted.

The applicant wants to build 68 apartments on the Ramsey site in three buildings, with car parking, landscaping and new vehicular access.

The Grand Island Hotel closed down early last year after over 100 years, with much of the contents being auctioned off.
