Dentist check-ups cut to reduce waiting lists

NHS Dentists on the Island are being forced to cut the number of routine check-ups they offer.

The Department of Health has been having difficulties recruiting dentists to its Salaried Dental Service after several recently left.

Therefore the Department is asking those with existing problems to be seen ahead of those with good dental health to reduce waiting lists.

An independent review into the Island's dental service has been commissioned.
