The mum of a rider involved in a crash during Manx Grand Prix has been providing an update on his condition.
Olie Linsdell's mum Carol says the 22 year old is now off the ventilator and has started speaking.
Olie was taken to a hospital in Liverpool following his collision at Bishopscourt a week ago.
Whilst he broke no major bones, Carol says there's hardly a square inch of his body without bruising or abrasions.
She adds that he'll need work to a damaged right knee and forearm.
She thanks all the friends and fans who have sent messages to Olie.
Peter Gibson, who crashed in the Senior race on Friday has had an operation on his forearm, John Thompson has been discharged from hospital following an incident at Creg ny Baa, and local rider Tim Venables is described as in a serious but stable condition, following a crash at Greeba Castle
